Seanna Walsh is a Project Leader based in Studio Gang’s Chicago office. In her design work, she seeks to express the building systems that respond to environmental, social, and site conditions through architecture. In her 10 years as a designer at the offices of SOM and Studio Gang, Seanna has worked on several high-rise and urban planning projects all over the world. At Studio Gang, she works to foster an interdisciplinary and collaborative design approach to the Studio’s ongoing work in Paris, France.
While studying at Sorbonne Université early in her career, Seanna was inspired to create her undergraduate thesis on post-colonial architecture in Northern Africa, a study that continues to inform and impact the way she approaches design for cultural contexts different from her own. Learning from vernacular architecture and natural systems is central to her efforts to de-carbonize the built environment through design.
